Sailor Moon Tattoo

This is the design for my next tattoo.

It was inspired by Sailor Moon and the legend of the Rabbit on the Moon.

When I was a small child, I was convinced that on my fourteenth birthday, I would find a talking black cat with a crescent mark on its forehead and she would tell me I was a Pretty Guardian. Usagi-chan and I had so much in common. We were both born under the sign of Cancer, our birthstones are pearls and moonstones, we love cats, we're both crybaby klutzes, and we were both terrible at school. And to top it off, according to Chinese zodiac, I'm born in the year of the Rabbit.

Of course, I never grew up to become Sailor Moon. But I am, however, thrilled that my cherished childhood show has been rebooted in all its pretty magical girl glory.

The crescent moon here is a vector rendering I did of the crescent moon featured during Sailor Moon Crystal's "I'll punish you" speech. The rabbit is my own design. I'll definitely post pictures once I get this tattoo done. I'm thinking back of my leg.
